This reg file Enables Folder and Icon Refresh.
1. Copy the following (everything in the box) into notepdad.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"NoNetCrawling"=dword:00000000
2. Save the file as disablerefreshundo.reg
3. Double click the file to import into your registry.
NOTE: If your anti-virus software warns you of a "malicious" script, this is normal if you have "Script Safe" or similar technology enabled

How To Reset This Edition ?
it’s always a very good idea to make a backup of your complete registry before any major changes are made to your system.
If you have to, a 10 second registry revert is far better than a 3 hour complete rebuild
To launch the registry editor go to the start menu and type Regedit
Now, from the file menu select export
OK your registry should now be backed up
To restore the registry it's pretty much a case of launching Regedit and from the file menu selecting Import
